nyc-based Jazz Pianist,
singer & composer
Born in the Bronx and raised in Yonkers, Quintin Harris has been immersed in music since before he could crawl. With a concert pianist mother and opera singer father, he made his professional stage debut at the age of 5 as the Lord High Drummer Boy in Gilbert & Sullivan's The Gondoliers. In his youth, Quintin received his acting and improv training from HB Studios, Theater of The Apes, The Wooster Group, Stephen DeRosa, Ayun Halliday, Greg Kotis, and Laurie Spigel.
He attended William Paterson University where he got his B.M. in Jazz Performance. While there, Quintin discovered his true passion and love for music through the professional relationships that he built. As Quintin honed his musical artistry, he had the privilege of studying under renowned pianists Aaron Diehl, Geoffrey Keezer, Ben Paterson, and, more recently, Ted Rosenthal. However, it was under the guidance of his longtime mentor, GRAMMY© Award-winning pianist Bill Charlap, that he truly discovered his unique sound and unwavering devotion to The Great American Songbook.
Rising fast on the scene, pianist and vocalist Quintin Harris has been making waves in the vibrant NYC jazz scene. A three-time nominee in the 2024 BroadwayWorld Awards for Best Vocal Jazz Performance, Best Instrumental Jazz Performance, and Best Vocalist, he continues to captivate audiences with his unique phrasing, trio arrangements, touch, and dynamic stage presence. A regular headliner at Birdland Jazz Club, Quintin charms his audiences, bringing a fresh yet timeless energy to the stage.
